Hello,

Good news is i have forms running and found the sql statements.

Once I test it I keep bumping into :

"Sorry, the request could not be performed due to a invalid Session Token"

So the sql statement i see is accurate. i don't understand what a session token implies. Would you mind shedding light on how i might resolve this issue?

Thank you

Tom

Hi Tom,

I would need a much more detailed description when and where exactly you run into this problem. (Frontend, Adminstration, if frontend how is the form published (Menu, modul, plugin), is there any cache enabled, do you use the reload option of the sql field, do you have any plugins on your website that might effect the session cookie setting (some Joomla Cookie Consent plugins do such a thing).....)

Regards,
Aicha

Dear Aicha,

Thank you for the reply.

I have been trying out your suggestions and i am still hitting a wall.

So what I have now is : in my form, in the field - basic options - i have chosen select sql where i have added my sql select statement in the right bottom hand corner. I have made the reload able to no. I tested the select sql statement out and still get a reply "Sorry, the request could not be performed due to a invalid Session Token".

So, I went to the plugins and got rid of any additional cookie plugins from third parties.

I made sure all the access levels are the same and I have all the forms and data are on display.

Now I have the privacy consent plugin disabled to as a base line to identify how to get the sql query to work.

I know it doesn't work because I am constantly double checking the display in the front and the only filtering that comes out is "Choose a value".

I know I may sound annoying with all these issues but I am confident this will work. I have come this far and my business will benefit immensely if I can get this to work. Please Help.

Thank you

Tom

Hi Tom,

you got the SQL Statement completely wrong.

You are writing an SQL Statement against the database.
You have to use the field names from the database which are not identical to the form field names and you have to use the database table name which is not identical to the form name.
If the Sql Statements uses values which are submitted with a visforms form then the database field name is the character F directly followed by the form field id, which you can retrieve from the field list.
For example F13 (for the field with the id 13)
The database table name consists of the Joomla! table prefix (or the Joomla! table prefix placeholder which is #_) an underscore the word "visforms" another underscore and the form id.
For example jos_visforms_3 or #__visforms_3 for data submitted with the form with the id 3

Further on you have to use the "as label" and "as value" in the sql Statement.
So the correct sql Statement is

SELECT F13 as label, F14 as value FROM jos9q_visforms_4;

It is also important that you do not have line breaks or in the statement.

Hopefully this will make it a bit clearer to you how this works and will enable you to write other working sql statements for "sql" fields.

I think the "invalid session token" message just was a result of the completely wrong sql statement....

Regards,
Aicha
